Alonso is youngest double World Champion
Hail to Fernando Alonso!! After becoming the youngest ever F1 World Driver’s Champion last year with his RenaultF1 Team, this year he made history again, becoming the youngest ever Double World Driver’s Champion. After successfully (and patiently) fending off Michael Schumacher in the closing stage of the 2006 season, he is moving to a new team next year, and looking for a new challenge. Many questions has been thrown at him recently, the most famous is, can he, or will he be the next Schumacher? His answer is simple, ‘becoming a 3 times World Champion, equaling what Ayrton Senna had achieved is enough for me’, stating that he don’t need 7 world titles because ‘i’m not going to be in Formula 1 that long‘. Anyway, its been a very close and hard fought victory for him, and a very good season for the ‘paying’ spectators, and hopefully next year will be a new era, the ‘Post Schumacher Era’…
